An Italian in Argentina, if that doesn't make for an exciting wine! Don Fioravante Sottano - originated from Italy, settled at the foot of the Andes mountains in Mendoza, Argentina in 1890. His winery has become a traditional household name ever since. All grapes are hand-picked, and you can definitely taste that dedication. The Malbec grape originates in France, but nowadays more than 75% of the Malbec wines are produced in Argentina.
The temperature difference between day and night ensures a slow ripening process, which results in the diversity of aromas in the wine. Heavily dependent on where they are grown for variations in flavor. Argentinian Malbec has quickly become a world favorite because of their unique characteristics.
In Sottano Malbec you will find aroma of ripe red fruit like plum and raspberries as well as complexity of chocolate and vanilla with a touch of oak.
Good to pair with beef, lamb and poultry.
